The SYPE.ca website now has over 200 member profiles updated! With 130 profile pictures added, and over 300 members accessing the site.

To keep up on the latest SYPE.ca posting, we now have a facebook page that will post the latest member news and events, to go along with our twitter page.

We've also added job postings, for members to post job listings to the general public.

Women play many roles in our community. Whether advancing a cause or supporting women, whether volunteer or paid, some women have characteristics and values that set them apart in the community. These women are leaders, mentors, facilitators, communicators, supporters, or listeners who have enriched our community and lives as a result of their unique contributions.

SYPE is happy to announce it’s new website is up and running! It’s a one-stop shop for professionals and entrepreneurs in Saskatchewan. One of the biggest features is our Membership Directory, a form of social-media. In order to get the most benefit, you need to fill in your online member profile a.s.a.p! This can include photos, career details, events, job postings, etc.

Last May, three entrepreneurs from Saskatoon travelled to Toronto with a truck, a trailer and a dream. The team of recent U of S graduates had created 3twenty Solutions - an idea to convert shipping containers into useful and durable camp and office structures for the oil and mining industries.

The reason for the trip?

Rotary Clubs in District 5550 are looking for a team of four professional or business people aged 25 – 40 years who are available for one month to travel to England from October 1 - 29, 2011.

Selected individualss will travel as part of a Rotary Group Study Exchange. Candidates will be Canadian citizens, currently employed for at least two years in a profession or business, and be in good health. Requirements include the ability to work as part of a team, act as an ambassador, and not be immediately related to members of Rotary.

Saskatchewan Young Professionals and Entrepreneurs (SYPE) will conduct a promotional campaign targeted to young people (15 to 35 years of age) in Saskatchewan to raise awareness of entrepreneurship.

The awareness campaign will focus on creating "buzz" about entrepreneurship, but will also point young people to additional resources that can provide information and assistance for those wishing to further explore the possibilities.
