About Me

I am passionate about entrepreneurship and building businesses. I graduated from the U of S with a B.Comm degree in 2006, and have been operating my own business since 2005. While in University I started a part-time group fitness venture for adult women, which over the past 5 years has evolved into a successful fulltime operation now called ClubMynx Fitness Inc. Within my business, I enjoy being creative and having a lot of fun with my staff of 30 administrative employees and class instructors. At ClubMynx we offer a big variety of group fitness, yoga and dance classes for adult women, and one of the most popular classes since we opened fulltime has been our Pole Dancing for Fitness. In addition to fitness, during the summer months we also cater to stagette groups and during the 2010 summer we hosted over 100 parties at our studio.

In 2010 ClubMynx placed as a finalist in the SABEX New Business Venture category which was a big honour, and I was personally recognized as a finalist in the SYPE Silver Spades Awards Banquet in 2010 as well. I have recently been elected as a Director of Events for the Saskatoon SYPE chapter and look forward to adding my creativity to that role. I am also the Chair of the Youth & Knowledge Development Committee with the Saskatoon Chamber of Commerce, as well as the Chair of the Advisory Board for SIFE Saskatchewan (Students in Free Entreprise). On a personal note, I also enjoy being active and maintain instructor certifications in Yoga, Personal Training and Group Fitness.

Work History

For 6 years, during and after University, I worked for a division of PIC Investment Group of Companies called Adventure Destinations International, and I eventually worked my way into the position of Marketing Manager. I maintained that position while developing my business plan for ClubMynx Fitness Inc. and in 2008 I became self employed and have been ever since.
