About Me: Jeret Bode works for MGI Securities as an Investment Banker and is a member of the board of directors. He is a graduate of the University of Saskatchewan with a Masters of Business Administration (MBA) majoring in marketing and finance as well as undergraduate degrees in Biology and Agriculture. Jeret's initial focus was in the fields of science and research, working for Novartis, Cargill, and Sony Japan. He then utilized his experience in the entrepreneurial world by co-founding the first spin-off company off Canada’s largest science project, the Canadian Light Source (Synchrotron). Jeret later worked for a large venture capital firm in Canada and was based out of Saskatchewan. Over the past number of years, he has worked for a national brokerage firm in the corporate finance division where he sourced, structured and placed capital for companies in Saskatchewan and across Canada. Jeret sits on a number of committees and boards in the province of Saskatchewan and recently, he was awarded “100 People, 100 Reasons” as one of the 100 people over the past 100 years making a difference in Saskatoon.
