Saskatoon, SK | July 2011 - Sarah Marchildon is pleased to join the Broadway Business Improvement District (Broadway BID) as Executive Director. A role she has targeted throughout her career, it is well-suited to Marchildon’s dynamic leadership, dedicated team player approach, and creative personality. As an Edward’s School of Business MBA graduate, Marchildon is confident with the management of Broadway BID activity. Her recent experience includes economic development with SREDA, marketing & event planning with United Way and teaching with Saskatoon school divisions. Marchildon is also valued for her creative edge as a crafter and multi-disciplinary artist.
Given the Broadway BID’s mandate of supporting and advancing the interests of all Broadway district businesses, Marchildon is eager to meet the merchants and explore every nook and cranny of the community. Striving to encourage and promote good community relations, Marchildon brings a useful network, including City Council members and local business leaders. She is also active as a Greater Saskatoon Chamber of Commerce Business Growth Committee member, and a Saskatchewan Young Professionals & Entrepreneurs (SYPE) board member.
Marchildon’s start is alongside fellow new recruit, Jennifer Ritchie, Communications Coordinator. Ritchie’s significant experience in administration and event planning, along with her background in the arts will be an asset to the Broadway BID.
The board is encouraged to work with this dynamic duo. Marchildon & Ritchie will certainly empower the Broadway BID community to multiply its usual enthusiasm and successes.
